Amphibian Disease Knowledgebase

Amphibian Disease Knowledgebase

The aim of this page is to provide high quality information on diseases of amphibians, with a focus on diseases of significance in wild populations. We aim to collate global amphibian disease resources and up-to-date information, particularly related to chytridiomycosis and amphibian declines. The site includes scientific publications, management plans and applied protocols useful to researchers, managers, students and the public.

The Amphibian Disease Knowledgebase was originally created and maintained by Dr Rick Speare at James Cook University in Townsville, Queensland, Australia. In Dr Speare’s retirement, and at his request, the Registry has endeavoured to update and maintain this page.

If you have any requests relating to the content of this page, or any scientific resources that you believe would be useful to the amphibian health community, please do not hesitate to contact us via the contacts link at the top of this page.
